What is paganism?

It's probably easier to start with what it isn't.

It isn't satanism. We don't worship the devil. Most of us don't practice harm to others. We haven't been possessed. We don't posses other people. We don't sacrifice people on alters or anything like that. We don't practice sacrifice anymore than Christians do. Christians once upon a time did do sacrifices of animals but don't do that any longer. Same. At least for most of us

Ok so since that's out of the way.
We honor the earth.
We respect nature.
We believe in using natural energies that are around us invisible to the naked eye.
We believe in using our intuition.
And finally many of us believe in singular or multiple deities.

I believe in multiple.
God (similar to the Christian God)
A goddess (wife of said God)
And their child.

In the Christian religion that's God Mary and Jesus. However Mary is human and not married to God. This never made sense to me either. Why should the mother of a god not be a goddess nor the wife of his father? Specifically when it is commanded by hat that is how families are to be made.

Do I have specific names for these deities? Not at this time. I'm still learning about who they are. I know aliases for them much as Christians may also call God father for example.

Goddess I call mother or Valkyrie or old corone depending on the aspect of her I wish to relate to.
God might be father or warrior for example.
Not very familiar with their son yet but again. I'm still learning.

Some days I wonder if they aren't the same as a he Christian gods and we kinda got it messed up in writing it all down. They might be sitting up there face palming wondering when we'll understand.

This is very basic but it's what I know. I'll update you as I learn :)
